We get asked a lot of questions about our screenprinting services. Here are the answers to some of the more common questions. If this still doesn’t help you, dont hesitate to contact us!
Q: How do I get Burlesque to print my project?
A: Fill out our Print Project Order Form (located at the bottom of this page) to let us know the
details of your job. We will look it over and contact
you within 1-2 business days to let you know our
availability and give you a price estimate.
Q: How long will it take you to finish my project?
A: We can usually complete a print project within 2
weeks of receiving print-ready art. However, the more
advance notice we are given, the better.
Q: But I need my posters or shirts sooner than that!
A: Sure thing, but we will charge a rush fee.
I need my job in less than two weeks: 10% rush charge.
I need my job in less than one week: 20% rush charge
Q: How can I pay for my project?
A: One of these following ways: Check or Money Order,
Paypal, Credit card, Cash (ONLY if you are picking up prints in person)
Q: How will you ship my posters or shirts to me?
A: We like to use UPS or FedEx, but if you have a
preferred shipping method, we are willing to send your
job just about any way you like. Prints are shipped
double boxed with padding and corner reinforcements.
Q: What type of paper will you print my posters on?
A: Our standard paper is 100lb cover weight Cougar White. For specialty colors, we use any of the many different 80
and 100lb cover French papers.
Through our paper suppliers, we can order just about any specialty stock your job requires and will print on it as long as it’s suitable for screen printing. Job quotes can and will be affected by stock prices and any additional shipping costs.
Q: What type of poster ink do you use?
A: We primarily use TW Ink 5500 series. It is water-based
arylic and has a semi-matte finish. Using automotive
grade pigments, the colors are the brightest we’ve seen
on the market. It dries permanently on paper and is very
resistent to scuffing.
Q: What type of shirts will you print on?
A: We like to use and can easily order American Apparel,
Gildan, Hanes, or Anvil, but we are open to printing on
just about any brand of shirt.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMITTING ART FILES
If you’re going to submit art to us for a print job, please read over our requirements to make your project flow through our shop as smoothly as possible. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about our art requirements.
APPROVED FILE FORMATS
We accept Illustrator .ai or .eps CS5 or lower
Adobe Photoshop .psd CS5 or lower
If your art contains a combination of Illustrator & Photoshop elements, send your final files as Photoshop documents with all elements set in place.
Make sure all fonts have been converted to outlines (Illustrator) or rasterized (Photoshop).
RESOLUTION
Photoshop art must be at a resolution of 300 dpi
BLEED
Bleed should run 1/4" past crop marks, no more, no less
COLORS
Each color must be separated onto its own layer, set in
the order they should be printed. We print lightest colors
first and darker colors last.
Make sure to trap your colors where they overlap.
SELECTING PANTONE NUMBERS
Pantone numbers must be selected for every color we
are printing. Please use this list to make sure you are
choosing colors from the correct book for your job.
Posters: Uncoated Pantone Book
Shirts: Coated Pantone Book
Metallic colors: Metallic Pantone Book
Pastel colors: Pastel Pantone Book
Please include a flattened JPG of your final artwork as a proof.
