123Klan One Love print
Artist: 123Klan

On November 19 2011, we welcomed the fantastic 123Klan all the way from Montréal (via Lille, France) to install their "Rien Comme Les Autres" show at CO Exhibitions. Mr. Scien & Mrs. Klor have been rock-shockin' the world with their highly stylized blend of graffiti and graphic design since 1992 and really blew the roof off of CO with one of the sharpest-looking shows we & Permanent have ever featured in our gallery space.

123Klan designed two brand new prints which we screenprinted and debuted at the "Rien" show.

123Klan opening this weekend

We are getting super excited for the opening of "Rien Comme Les Autres," the new exhibition of graphic art from Montréal's 123Klan at CO Exhibitions this Saturday. Mr. Scien and Mrs. Klor have been in town all week puttin' in work on a huge new graffiti mural and hanging some brand new prints as well as a selection of their classic prints, vinyl toys, Bandit-1sm clothing, and original drawings. Along with the gang from Permanent, we've been showing our French-Canadian friends around town and helping them get situated in the gallery.

Things are looking really good and we highly recommend you come check out the grand opening of "Rien Comme Les Autres!" It all goes down this Saturday, November 19 at CO! Check out more photos after the jump...

Arcade Fire Montreal 2011
Artist: Wes Winship

Septermber 21 and 22, 2011, Arcade Fire performed their two final concerts for their 15+ month run of shows supporting their outstanding, Grammy and Juno-winning album "The Suburbs." We've been designing and printing posters for this long tour since Summer 2010 - that's 27 posters for Arcade Fire all in a row. Yowza.

Wes Winship brought it super tough on this final design, showing that 1980 Mercedes from "The Suburbs" album cover having taken a hell of a toll after a year on the road driving cross-country, overseas, and back and all over again then finally back home to Montréal.

Philately Fridays: Canada, 1976

Three stamps from Canada celebrating arts, crafts, and music just in time for the 1976 Olympics. This is a perfect execution of the '70s still life photo shoot trend which surfaced in a lot of advertising and graphic arts.

Arcade Fire: Canada, 2010
Artist: Wes Winship

Since beginning the series of "Suburbs"-related Arcade Fire concert posters, one of the subjects from the record that keeps resurfacing is the idea of the suburban war - kids from different parts of town taking up arms and duking it out to rep their neighborhood. Wes Winship brought this idea to life with this print for the band's Fall 2010 stops in Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, and Vancouver.
