Our David Choe print

Unless you've been dodging the news for the last few days, you probably heard that artist David Choe landed himself in a little bit of money. Either way, we're super happy for this super talented dude and can't wait to see what's next for him. Earlier this week, he told Howard Stern he was the best face-painter since Peter North and carried Barbara Walters around New York doing graffiti all in the span of about two hours. Not bad at all.

Draplin Does Philadelphia

To coincide with his recent lecture in Philadelphia, friend of Burlesque Aaron Draplin put together this gorgeous poster of some of the best icons and visual memories from the City of Brotherly Love. I mean, just about everything is here from Ben Franklin to Pep Boys to Schoolly D to The Dead Milkmen to Rocky to cheesesteaks to Hall & Oates. Wait, where's Jazzy Jeff?!? OK we'll let that one slide for now. But really, Draplin asked us to print this badboy and we couldn't say no! He had a few copies for sale at his get-down in Philly. In case you weren't there, we will be making this poster available very soon through our online store.

New art prints from Greg Gossel

This Thursday, we will be releasing two brand new art prints designed by Minneapolis artist Greg Gossel and published and printed right here at Burlesque. Around this time last year, we closed up our First Amendment gallery with an exhibit and print release from Greg. We love his brightly-colored collages made from repurposed snippets of pop culture. Clout art print
Artist: Todd Bratrud

We're happy to present the art print based on Todd Bratrud's cover artwork for the All-Oakland-Everything issue of Clout Magazine. Todd has a real reputation for drawing the highly-detailed illustrations of lizard ladies, and this venomous vixen is covered top to bottom with Too $hort tattoos. We approve!

Each poster order will come with a FREE issue of Clout Magazine which contains a big feature on Todd's art (and iChat addiction) as well as Bay Area rap legend Too $hort, Life Sucks Die interview alumni graffiti writer Geso, and much more. What a deal!

Nævil print set
Artist: Seldon Hunt, Stephen O'Malley

NÆVIL is a unique collaboration between Sunn0))) maestro Stephen O'Malley and the artist Seldon Hunt. The monstrous 15 panel mural extravaganza is the culmination of a detailed deconstructed visual response to the live performance of Sunn0))) through the abstraction of live imagery taken from the tour of Europe in 2006. These images, designed to stand alone as single pages reflecting the purpose and structure of the tour poster medium, also join together to form one giant wall covering mystical image.
