Baroness Black Swan tour poster SOLD OUT!

This past weekend, Baroness came blazing through Minneapolis to light up First Avenue's stage and brand new state-of-the-art sound system. Their tour with Meshuggah and Decapitated has been going swimmingly and the new tour poster, screenprinted right here in our studio, designed by Baroness frontman John Baizley, and featuring the new Baroness logo designed by Aaron Horkey, has completely sold out on the road!

Well, we put our red version online at 2p Today and sold out in a blink of an eye! Thanks everybody!

John Baizley: Cut Them Where They Bleed

Baizley originally sketched this beauty for a solo exhibition in Lancaster, PA. He finished the piece to become the album cover art for throwback rockers Tiger Tiger! We then carefully broke this watercolor masterpiece apart and rebuilt it as an 9-color screenprinted fine art print. Voila! This print is available exclusively through the Burlesque online store.

Behind the scenes: Passage Through Purgatory

We get a lot of folks asking us about our screenprinting process, especially for the more involved prints such as the brand new Passage Through Purgatory. We'd like to reveal a bit of the magic that goes on here at Burlesque and show you some photos taken during the process of making Baizley's artwork into an 11-color screenprint.

Passage Through Purgatory

11-color screenprinted art print from artist John Baizley, based on his stunning watercolor artwork for Black Tusk's 2008 "Passage Through Purgatory" album. The woman featured here, Agatha, is a recurring character in Black Tusk's artwork and you may remember her from the previous Black Tusk print. Here, her pure spirit is shown contrasted with the primitive and barbaric warthog. Baizley worked some heavy stuff into here that you might not get at first glance.
